Serving as a capstone for the Federal staffing specialist training, this structured practicum leads to an HR certificate. Through actual on-the-job assignments targeted toward specific knowledge and skill application, you’ll will be evaluated on your ability to meet certain prerequisites achieved through the Federal HR Institute (FHRI) Staffing Specialist Curriculum and/or work experience: This course requires a preassessment before attendance.

- Tailoring JOAs to address workforce planning considerations
- Understanding the consequences of classification decisions on Job Opportunity Announcements
- Evaluating, adjusting, and/or creating recruiting strategies
- Using data analytics or planning how to capture appropriate analytics to inform agency decisions
- Understanding agency assessments and what is being done to improve based on the assessment results
- Reinforcement of Service Excellence behaviors
