FEI's Funding
FEI is a component of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), the agency charged with: Recruiting, Retaining, and Honoring a World-Class Workforce to Serve the American People.
In carrying out its responsibility for managing the overall Federal executive personnel program, OPM established FEI to provide continuing leadership development services for senior leaders.
FEI’s campus is in Charlottesville, Virginia. It delivers programs on campus and at agency sites throughout the United States and the world.
FEI is led by a Director and is staffed by six senior faculty and approximately eighteen administrative personnel who are based on campus. It calls on approximately 150 adjunct faculty members who live throughout the United States for additional support.
There is no Federal appropriation for FEI. It earns its operating funds through fees paid by the Federal agencies that send participants to FEI programs.
