Becoming an Inclusive Leader

Presented by OPM's Center for Leadership Development, Federal Executive Institute  |  May 5, 2021

Presenters:   Mo Sook Park and Bob Richard, Faculty, Center for Leadership Development

What do we mean when we talk about the need for "Inclusion"  within DEIA initiatives (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility)?  And what implication does this have for us as leaders?

In this webinar, we introduce what it means to be an inclusive leader.  We also explore the reasons why it is so challenging to be inclusive even when we have the best of intentions.

About the Presenter: Mo Sook Park  |  Faculty, Center for Leadership Development

Mo Park, faculty

Mo Sook Park joined the faculty of the Center for Leadership Development, Office of Personnel Management in June 2019. Mo Sook’s primary interest is in applying management and behavioral sciences to expand the ability of leaders and organizations to adapt and thrive in our increasingly complex and volatile world.

Mo Sook founded her own organization and leadership development consultancy in 2010 out of a desire to help mission-driven organizations become more nimble and adaptive. She is a “practitioner-educator” with extensive experience as a facilitator, coach, and strategy consultant, often working with organizations in all three roles. Her most significant work to date was a 3+ year engagement with an urban public school system, where she coached principals, designed a leadership development curriculum for school administrators, and coached a leadership team that led a successful turnaround of a school that had been “failing” for over 20 years.
